Gloves selection
With the SHIELD Scientific product brand code, select the right gloves is now an easy exercise.
Sterile orange nitrile cleanroom gloves are used as an inner glove in double‑gloving systems to improve visibility. This under glove cleanroom approach helps detect contamination, perforations or liquid ingress through an outer glove, supporting safer handling in aseptic GMP Grade A/B environments.
An inner glove is required in aseptic workflows where maintaining a continuous sterile barrier is critical. Using an inner sterile nitrile glove helps provide a backup layer if the outer glove fails, supporting protection during gowning, repeated handling, filling or sterile preparation tasks.
Sterile nitrile cleanroom gloves such as SHIELDskin™ XTREME Sterile ORANGE NITRILE™ 300 DI are PPE Category III gloves, offering Type B chemical protection and high barrier integrity (low AQL). They also provide protection against microorganisms, including viruses, and are tested for use with chemotherapy drugs and disinfectants.
Improper donning or contact with non‑sterile surfaces can compromise the glove before use. In an under glove cleanroom setup, this error reduces the effectiveness of double‑gloving and can introduce contamination before the aseptic process even begins.
Sterile inner nitrile gloves are used in pharmaceutical and biotechnology cleanrooms where a continuous sterile barrier is required. As part of double‑gloving systems, they support contamination control and visual monitoring during aseptic handling in isolators and GMP Grade A/B environments.
