Gloves selection
With the SHIELD Scientific product brand code, select the right gloves is now an easy exercise.
Extra long sterile latex gloves such as SmartLine™ Sterile Latex 600 DI are used in cleanrooms to provide extended coverage and enhanced protection, ensuring the integrity of cleanroom processes and products. These sterile latex gloves 600 mm offer greater arm protection, reducing exposure risks in cleanroom environments.
600 mm sterile latex cleanroom gloves are not required for all operations, but they are used for higher‑risk tasks where extra forearm coverage is needed (under Grade A laminar flow). Their extended length helps the disinfection process to meet GMP Annex 1 requirements.
Incorrect handling of 600 mm cleanroom gloves during donning or transfer can introduce contamination into sterile environments. Extra‑long sterile gloves must be handled with care, as their extended length increases the risk of contact with non‑contaminated surfaces, which may compromise aseptic conditions.
Sterile latex gloves offer high elasticity and tactile sensitivity, supporting precise movements during extended aseptic operations while reducing hand fatigue. Their chemical resistance against 70% isopropanol or ethanol (WFI mix) is generally sufficient for routine disinfection procedures.
Sterile latex cleanroom gloves go through multiple washing cycles in ISO 5 cleanroom, including regular leaching and deionised water rinsing to reduce particle levels on the glove surface. This process helps sterile 600 mm cleanroom gloves meet requirements for critical pharmaceutical environments such as GMP Grade A/B cleanrooms.
Sterile Latex 600 gloves for cleanroom and aseptic production environments provide particle levels below 3,000 particles/cm² > 0.5 µm and endotoxin levels below 20 EU/pair. These characteristics support use in GMP Grade A/B cleanrooms and other critical controlled environments.
